sorry i've been so bad with updating lately but i'm gonna try to get back into it again!

today is my sisters birthday so we're going shopping then going to eat at a fancy french restaurant. i'm staying at my mom's place this weekend and its so weird being back now that i live downtown toronto. makes me remember how much i hate scarborough haha.

since my last post, toria and i got a sweet apartment and its been awesome. living with a makeup artist rules... which means random photoshoots!! i also live super close to my good friends marc andrew smith and matt sims so i see them pretty much all of the time. they teamed up with me on my merch line so get stoked cause it's gonna be way awesomer than originally expected. i've been also recording and song writing like crazy. i recently got the final mix of one of the songs and it sounds so rad. the people i've shown it to said it's like avril meets jonas brothers... that's all i'm gonna say for now. ;) you might be wondering what happened with me and bunk rock... well let's just say there's a lot of complicated politics mixed with a lot power tripping. too much stress for too little pay for all of the work i was doing as well so wasn't worth it anymore but as i always say... everything happens for a reason. i've had some pretty crazy meetings and there's big stuff in the works. :)

other than that stuff, i've been traveling and partying like crazy. i went to nyc for new years... did a shoot and partied with zui. went to montreal a couple of weeks ago to visit my boy. pretty cool city but i wish i knew french!! haha that's my next goal... learn french. last monday i helped his band the new cities (myspace.com/thenewcities) with their cd and promo photoshoot and did a little bit of modeling too so watch out for that! i think i'm gonna go back to montreal next week to help with their video shoot too so we'll see!!

hello again my awesome friends, followers and lurkers. i am here with an update as i obviously seem to be sucking big time on them!

incase you forgot, my name is tara. i do a lot of stuff. lately i've been working constantly at bunk rock. it seems to be consuming my life but it's a good thing. i love my job. i'm always surrounded by amazing, hardworking and talented people. i'm very lucky to be apart of something so awesome. we recently moved offices into an awesome cottage-like house. i have my own room which is nice and its weird because before we moved in, it had a T on the door and a weird blotch of silver sparkles. it's like it was meant to be my office. a band i work for called the new cities (which i'm sure you've heard of if you lurk my page) has been living in the house cause they are finishing their full length album (that should be out in the spring on red ink music/sony bmg!!!) and it's been a lot of fun having them around. those guys are awesome... but not when nick puts dirt on my desk as a joke but i'm going to get him back... when he least expects it!!! be afraid nick, be afraid! hahaha speaking of practical jokes, sabrina and i have been playing awesome jokes on jay (one second 2 late's tour manager) which you can check out on bunk rock tv and just on friday... him and shak from os2l got us back by putting ink on our phones, computer mouses (which brings up the question... is it mouses or mice when you're referring to a computer mouse? hahaha) and they also put ink on our chairs! those jerks... we need to get revenge on that one too. anyways, one second 2 late were there the past week recording their christmas songs and i had the opportunity to sing back up vocals on one of them!i'm sure it'll be on myspace soon so make sure to check it out. before that, os2l was on tour with hedley and they were also doing an lcbo promotion where they had a sweet tour bus and i got to go out to some of the shows. needless to say, it was a party. i've known those guys for a while so it's nice to be able to see them more often now. hmmm what else have i been up to.... oh i judged a vocal competition at the rivoli in november... i'm doing it again on dec 7th so if you're bored that day, come out! should be fun. i feel like paula abdul but less intoxicated. i have a fashion show on boxing day at savage garden also!! last week i got hooked up with PETA2 so major shout out to them!!! expect a PETA photoshoot real soon. tomorrow i'm moving out which i'm most excited about. toria and i got a sweet apartment downtown toronto and we're having a xmas/housewarming party that we might webcast... so watch out for updates on that. ;)

hey yall. it's update time.

sooo lately, i've been sooo busy with work. i love my job so much but needless to say, i'm hella busy. i never thought that i'd be working for one of my heroes and working here has already taught me so much. i was recently made the digital girl of bunk rock so make sure to check out the bunk myspace (www.myspace.com/bunkrock) for random videos from behind the scenes and our shows. we already have a ton of ridiculousness so it's only going to get crazier from here.

aside from work, i have been apartment hunting. yes, it's true. toria and i are getting a place together downtown toronto and it's gonna be bad ass. yesterday we planned out how we are painting and decorating and wow it's going to be amazing. i'm so excitedddd sjhdfjhsafjkh oh and we're gonna have a housewarming party too so watch out for pics and videos from that chaotic night.

i am currently in the studio writing and recording demos for my new band. the tracks are sounding amazing. i'm so stoked for you all to hear it. starlight starbright has been on hiatus right now… it’s hard for matthew and i to record new stuff cause we live so far from each other… but i'm sure in the future, you’ll be hearing more awesome electro tunes.

i also just recently joined forces with one of my fav artists and i am currently in the production stages of a new merchandise line. it's going to be different than anything you've ever seen before. i'll keep you updated as this develops mwahahaha.

speaking of clothing lines, rockett just released their fall line so check itttt. it's f-ing amazing. i'm picking out a bunch of stuff right now and i'm having the hardest time choosing which ones i want haha they are all so rad.

here are some random things that describe my life at the moment:

yogen fruz top it, boyfriend withdrawls, betsey johnson, juicy couture, broken phones, moving out, gossiping, good tv, crooked cops, the future, talking on the phone for hours like in highschool, new projects, all you can eat sushi, nights of debauchery, hair flowers, mayday parade, we the kings, missing him.

aaaand that's all i can think of for now.

i'm thinking of bringing back the webcam show but on a different site. what do you guys think?

hey lurkers and friends,

sorry for the lack of blogging. i've been way too busy lately to even begin to wrap my head around. my new job at bunk rock is amazing. really busy but amazing. it's nice to be able to get paid to promote some great bands and some of my good friends. i have definitely learned so much already from my co-workers and i look forward to learning more.

last weekend, i went to barrie to act/model in the new imago movie. this movie is going to be so amazing. it's basically a trippy fashion tableaux movie. i can't say much more about it but i had a great time and everyone was so awesome.

this weekend, i did a shoot for rockett clothing then headed straight for cobourg with my co-workers to see the new cities play. this band is going to be huge. without a doubt. make sure to check them out:

i finally had a day off yesterday where i slept for most of it as i've hardly gotten any sleep recently at all. today i am going to record some demos. i also start my second city acting and improv training pretty soon and my vocal coach comes back from LA this week so i won't have any days off for a while. being so busy is really draining but i'd rather be drained then waste my life away. off to the studio... wish me luck!

man the internet has too much drama. it makes me hate it even more after seeing all of it constantly. no matter what, always new drama arises. it's ridiculous. why can't we all just get along?!?! is it really that hard?? fuck hahaha.

so i was recently asked on myspace what i did for a living and what my day usually consists of so i decided to let you guys in on my life in general.

a couple of months ago i used to be in artist relations for a record label entitled bodog music for a show called bodog battle of the bands that was on fuse. due to some crazy controversy and the state the music industry is in right now, they had to make cutbacks. by cutbacks, i mean pretty much everyone got laid off... from toronto to vancouver to philidelpha... everyone. i had some time off to decide what i wanted to do with my life and just take a break from working so much. i went to california a couple of times, went on tour and finally decide that i want to be a musican and actor. i started taking acting classes and vocal training and began working on my EP. i scrapped it half way through cause i wasn't into the music style as much anymore and didn't know many people except my good friend matthew lush. he loved it so we decided to use it for a new found side project called starlight starbright. after that, i got a call from my old boss from my old work and told me to come in. one meeting after another, i landed a fulltime viral marketing and artist relations job with one of the biggest management companies in canada, bunk rock entertainment. bunk rock is owned by the one and only greig nori whom of which used to play in the band treble charger, discovered, managed and produced sum41 and also produced simple plan, hedley, broken social scene... and so on. i work along side matt brann who was previously the drummer in avril lavigne's band and some other industry reps that came together to form what is now bunk rock. this is what i'm doing fulltime now. i share an office with matt and spend most of my time here. when i'm not working, i'm still working. i am working on acting, modeling, music and also working on my fitness with a personal trainer. i am working on a brand new EP now so expect to hear some stuff next month. this is what i do.

last sunday i was in the oohlala fashion show modeling for fashion whore. i did a shoot with them before and they asked me to be apart of it alongside a bunch of models who i previously met from other fashion shows (jessika violet and heather doyle) and met some new ones. they are all super awesome and i'm glad i got the change to meet them and become friends with them. it's nice knowing that there are still some rad people in the fashion industry.

my birthday is coming up. august 16th. i'm going to be 22. i feel like i'm getting so old. i think toria and i are gonna roadtrip to see our new fav band, the jonas brothers hahaha. celebrity crushes are always fun. there is never a let down. speaking of which, i am loving being single. i decided to just stay away from boys (no i'm not a lesbian, i still love boys... just not the drama and constant bullshit) and concentrate on my career. i've never been happier. life is good.

i just had longest weekend/week ever. photoshoots nonstop since thursday. i am slowly going crazy. saturday i went to the toronto island to shoot with a photographer but that turned out to be an adventure. it seems as though my life now is one big adventure haha. centerville is like a little amusement park with a petting zoo, a park to bbq and have picnics and a beach. virgin fest is going to be there which i'm super stoked about... maybe i'll camp out for it hahaha. here are pics from the randomness that occured.

and that's pretty much it. it was a super fun day. i stayed over at toria's on sunday and we went on stickam for the first time in forever. it reminded me why i hate it haha. then we watched the beatles movie 'help' which is pretty much the best movie ever and it inspired us to start a new project called 'the adventures of toria and tara'. be sure to watch out cause it'll blow your mind. yesterday i went shopping with my mom... got a bunch of shirts and a dress... sunglasses... hair products... heels... h&m and urban outfitters are definitely my fav stores. i'm trying to get out of wearing so much black... black is pretty much my entire wardrobe. today i went to visit my friend katie in the hospital... she got hit by a cab and hurt pretty bad but she's a strong one so she'll be okay. it just really pisses me off. if you can't drive, don't drive instead of making others suffer for your stupidity. ugh.

saturday i'm getting my stomach tattoo finished finally. it's been a while since i got the first part done so i'm stoked to get it all done. other than that, i've been working on my entertainment career which is going awesomely and my new project with matthew lush is almost ready to be unleashed so watch out.

so i just signed with a entertainment management company which i'm super stoked about. i've needed a manager pretty bad lately cause i'm at the point where i have so much work piled up that i can't even handle myself anymore. pretty crazy. i have 4 days of photoshoots straight then fittings for the ohlala fashion show. it's at tryst toronto (82 peter st.) on july 6th so come out if you're in town. should be fun... i'll also be at the toronto and montreal warped tour dates... i might make it out to buffalo and detroit but that's still up in the air.

i just read that amy winehouse got caught at airport security carrying 2.2 lbs of cocaine in her beehive. hahahaha that's probably the most ridiculous and hilarious news i've heard in a while. so unbelievable that anyone would actually do that. amazing.




i went to the mmvas last sunday... needless to say i got a little crazy. i didn't end up going to any after parties cause i had a early casting the next day but apparently i had one of my own?? sorry to everyone in my blackberry phonebook hahaha. the highlight of the night was seeing the new kids on the block (or should it be the old creepy men on the beach?) and donnie wahlberg shouting out scarborough (the part of toronto i live in). that and seeing chace crawford but not being able to get near him. lame. but damn he's way hotter in person if that's even possible. all in all, i had an amazing night minus the crazy thunder and lightning storm. that sucked.

i watched iron man for the third time today and i'm stoked they signed on for two more sequels. i think i'm in love with robert downey jr. haha is that wrong? i think i'm in love with the middle jonas brother too. i feel like a pedofile... haha i don't even know how old he is or what his name is but chace crawford owns my heart.

i love weekends... although i hardly relax. always working. no matter what. i get bored too easily if i'm not keeping myself busy.

i had my first magazine cover shoot last week... it was with 4 other models and was sex and the city-esq. a lot of fun... at the most expensive restaurant in toronto called sassa fraz. apparently all of the celebrities go there. speaking of celebs, the tmz show is amazing. celebrities are so stupid. i don't understand why they are put on such a high pedestal... i guess cause we are so bored with our own lives we have to resort to living vicariously through others.

next week i have a bunch of shoots and castings... i've been more interested in acting lately... i've done some stuff in the past but nothing too serious. i'm also going to be walking the runway once again in the ohlala fashion show for fashion whore. runway shows are fun... weird but fun.

i went to my fav sushi restaurant the other day for the first time since i left my old job... got vegetarian dragon rolls and miso soup... it was so weird being in that area and reminded me how much i miss everyone i worked with. it's nice working for myself but it gets boring haha.

tonight, i am going to get some mexican food... mmm burrito boyz (kid robot's get awesome guide link... features burrito boyz and other awesome places to go to when in toronto and other cities) and just veg out. maybe watch speed racer. tomorrow is the muchmusic video awards... i haven't decided if i am going to go or not. i might just go to the after-parties. if i were to go, i'd go to stalk chace crawford cause he is the hottest guy of all time. still undecided though... i've been so anti-social lately. i guess it's just one of those phases. the one thing i can't seem to comprehend is that i have so many lurkers but hardly any comments. what is the deal? people used to be so much more active online... now it seems all there is lately is lurkers. same thing with myspace... so many lurkers but it seems like that hardly anyone interacts anymore.
